The manager of a car dealership contacted the Prescott Police Department to report that their 2006 Cadillac STS had been stolen.  The victim advised that the Cadillac was in the wash bay and was stolen with the keys by unknown suspects.

The Prescott PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Cadillac.

A short while later, officers from the Phoenix Police Department picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Cadillac with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Cadillac to the area of 7th Avenue and Broadway Road in Phoenix.

The Cadillac was located unoccupied in the parking lot of an apartment complex.  The Cadillac was backed into a parking spot in the front of the complex.  No suspects were observed near the Cadillac.  The Phoenix PD officers recovered the stolen Cadillac in excellent condition.  The Cadillac was impounded for safe keeping and later released back to the dealership.
