The owners of a 2005 Nissan Sentra contacted the Goodyear Police Department to report that their vehicle had been stolen sometime over night from the driveway of their residence.
The Goodyear PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Nissan.

Eleven minutes later, officers from the Avondale Police Department picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Nissan with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Nissan to the parking lot of a business near Avondale Boulevard and Buckeye Road in Avondale.
The Nissan was located unoccupied in the parking lot. The Avondale PD officers recovered the stolen Nissan and processed the vehicle for evidence. The Nissan was later released to the owners in good condition.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Nissan Sentra in June 2005 by Avondale Nissan in Arizona.
