The owner of a 2014 Chevrolet Spark contacted the Albuquerque Police Department to report the vehicle was stolen. The Albuquerque PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Chevrolet.

Within an hour of the activation, Officers with the Albuquerque PD picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Chevrolet with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in their marked patrol and undercover vehicles. Following the audible and directional cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Chevrolet to an apartment complex in the area of General Stilwell and Central located in the Southeast Area Command. Officers located the Chevrolet parked and unoccupied with damage to the dash but otherwise in good condition. The Chevrolet was released back to the pleased owner at the recovery scene.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Chevrolet Spark in May 2014 by Galles Chevrolet in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
