The owner of a 2005 Toyota Corolla contacted the Albuquerque Police Department to report their residence was burglarized and their vehicle was stolen from the area of University and Martin Luther King in the Southeast Area Command.  The Albuquerque PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Toyota.

Within a short time of the activation, a vehicle equipped with a LoJack Police Tracking Computer (PTC) picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Toyota.  Following the audible and directional cues from the PTC, the stolen Toyota was located parked in an apartment complex underground parking lot in the area of Lead and Princeton in the Southeast Area Command.  The Toyota was parked backed into a parking stall almost out of direct view from the street.  The Toyota was processed for evidence and will be released to the elated owner at a later time.
