The owners of a 2006 Chrysler 300 contacted the Phoenix Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen from the parking lot of an apartment complex.

The police verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Chrysler.

Eight minutes later, officers from the Phoenix PD picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Chrysler with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Chrysler to a neighborhood near 20th Street and Southern Avenue in Phoenix.

The Chrysler was found unoccupied on a side street in the 2100 block of east Alta Vista Road.  No suspects were observed near the Chrysler.  The Chrysler was recovered and processed for evidence.   The Chrysler was later returned to the owners in good condition.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Chrysler 300 in October 2006 by Bill Luke Dodge in Phoenix, Arizona.
