The owners of a 2002 Mercedes Benz ML350 contacted the Boston Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen.
The Boston PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Mercedes Benz.

A short while later officers from the Boston PD picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Mercedes Benz with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Mercedes Benz and were able to recover the vehicle shortly thereafter.

This is the second successful recovery of this vehicle using the LoJack® System. This Mercedes Benz was first stolen in February 2002 which was less than two months after the system was originally installed.
The LoJack® System was installed in the Mercedes Benz ML350 in December 2001 by Chambers Motorcars Mercedes in Somerville, Massachusetts.
