The owners of a 1993 Acura Integra contacted the Boston Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen.
The Boston PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Acura.

Detectives from the Boston PD Auto Theft unit picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Acura with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, detectives tracked the Acura to the area of Dorchester near the Dorchester District Court.

The Acura was located behind an apartment building in a residential area of Dorchester.
The LoJack® System was installed in the Acura Integra in March 1993 by South Shore Acura in Norwell, MA.
