The owners of a 2011 Toyota Camry contacted the New Orleans Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen from in front of her residence in the Broadmoor area of the city. The owner stated they had some visitors that morning to the home and later found the keys missing from the table.
The New Orleans PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Toyota.

A short while later troopers from the Louisiana State Police picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Toyota with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the troopers tracked the Toyota as it was driven in the Freret neighborhood and located the vehicle at the drive up window of a fast food business. A felony stop was conducted which resulted in the driver being arrested for possession of the stolen Toyota.

The owner was contacted by the troopers and advised them the Toyota had been recovered quickly in great shape via LoJack. The owners arrived a short while later and were reunited with their Toyota.
The LoJack® System was installed in the Toyota Camry in April 2010 by Toyota of New Orleans in Louisiana.
