The owner of a 2007 Mercedes Benz S550 contacted the Las Vegas Metro Police Department to report her residence was burglarized and her vehicle was stolen.  The LVMPD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Mercedes Benz.

Within 40 minutes of the activation, multiple law enforcement agencies, including LVMPD, Nevada Highway Patrol and U.S. Bureau of Land Management, picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Mercedes Benz with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the U.S. BLM Law Enforcement Ranger tracked the Mercedes Benz to the area of Elkhorn and Durango in a residential neighborhood.  The Mercedes Benz was found parked and abandoned.  The Mercedes Benz was recovered and will be returned to the owner.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Mercedes Benz S550 in November 2006 by Mercedes Benz of Chandler, Arizona.
