Eleven (11) minutes later officers from the New Orleans PD picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen BMW with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the BMW to the Lower 9th Ward and located it parked hidden in the rear of an abandoned home. The BMW was impounded and processed for evidence. Because of the quick recovery evidence was recovered which will aid detectives in identifying the carjacking suspects. Later in the day the BMW was turned over to owner in good shape.
