This Honda Civic was stolen during the night from the owner’s residence located in the 11400 block of SE 186th Street in Renton, Washington.

When the theft was discovered the following morning, it was reported to the Renton Police Department who verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Honda.

That same afternoon, the King County Sheriff’s Office deputies picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Honda on the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the Honda was located at SE 184th Street & 123rd Avenue SE near Renton. It was abandoned and appeared undamaged.

The owner was called to the scene to take possession of the Honda. This was the second theft and recovery of this Honda from Renton. The first incident occurred in November 2012.
The LoJack® System was installed in the Honda Civic in June 2007 by Honda Auto Center in Bellevue, Washington.
