The owner of a 2004 Honda Accord parked their car in front of the apartment. The owner went to work in their company vehicle, returned later that night and discovered their Honda missing. The owner contacted the Orange County Sheriff’s Office to report that their vehicle was stolen. The responding deputy prepared a stolen vehicle report, theft affidavit and had the vehicle’s information entered into the state and federal crime information computers.

Later that morning an Orange County SO deputy picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Accord on their on-board LoJack Police Tracking Computer (PTC). The deputy began tracking the stolen Accord by following the directional and audible cues on the PTC screen. The deputy, along with their backup, located the Accord in an apartment complex parking lot in the 3800 block of South Rio Grande Avenue. The Accord was recovered, towed to the police impound yard for safekeeping and removed from state and federal crime information computer systems.

The LoJack® System was installed in the 2004 Honda Accord in February 2007 by Coggin Honda of Orlando, Florida.
