The owner of a 2009 Honda Accord contacted the New York Police Department 69 precinct to report that her vehicle was stolen. The owner stated the following, after a violent argument with her ex-boyfriend he violently beat her and took the keys to her Honda, then took off with it.

The NY PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers, which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the stolen Honda.

A short while later, Officers from the NYPD 67 precinct picked up the silent signal from the LoJack® System installed on the stolen Honda on their LoJack Police Tracking Computers installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, they tracked the signal into the East Flatbush section of Brooklyn, confines of the 67 precinct. There they tracked the Honda which was parked on a residential street.  They decided to stake the Honda out; they staked it out for a short while. When a short while later the suspect entered the Honda but was quickly arrested before he had the chance to take off with the vehicle. The Honda was recovered with no damage. The owner was contacted.   She was elated that her Honda was recovered so quickly, especially with no damage on it.  The owner stated that she was happy that her Honda was equipped with LoJack when she purchased the vehicle. Further stating that if it wasn’t for LoJack her Honda may not have been recovered at all.

The LoJack® System was installed in the 2009 Honda Accord in September 2012 by Hillside Honda in Jamaica Queens, New York.
