The owners of a 2014 Toyota Camry contacted the Baltimore City Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen from their home, by a family member, who also had possession of the vehicle keys in the 1900 block Cedric Road in Baltimore City, Maryland.

The Baltimore City PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Toyota.

A short while later officers from the Baltimore City PD picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Toyota with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in their patrol vehicles.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Toyota to the 4400 block Patterson Avenue in Baltimore City. At that location, officers observed the Toyota stopped and unoccupied. Officers recovered the Toyota and notified the owner. Charges against the theft suspect are pending.

The LoJack® System was installed in the 2014 Toyota Camry during June 2014 by Russell Toyota in Baltimore, Maryland.
