The owners of a 2011 Cadillac CTS contacted the Anne Arundel County Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen from their home in the Millersville area of Anne Arundel County, Maryland. The theft occurred during an overnight burglary at the home where the suspects took the vehicle keys and stole the Cadillac.

The Anne Arundel County PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Cadillac.

A short while later detectives from the Regional Auto Theft Team picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Cadillac with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in their patrol vehicles.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Cadillac to the 2800 block Maisel Street in the South Baltimore area of Baltimore City. At that location, officers observed the Cadillac parked and unoccupied. Detectives from Anne Arundel County PD responded and towed the Cadillac to the crime lab to conduct forensic processing as part of the investigation.

The LoJack® System was installed in the 2011 Cadillac CTS in December 2014 by Wilkins Buick in Glen Burnie, Maryland.
