The owner of a Ford Mustang GT Convertible contacted the Tulsa, Oklahoma Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen from a residence in the 800 block of So. Tucker in Tulsa.

The Tulsa PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers, which automatically activates the LoJack® System concealed in the Mustang.

A short while later an officer with the Skiatook Police Department picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Ford with the LoJack Tracking Computer (PTC) installed in patrol cars and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC the officer was able to quickly track the signal to a business in downtown Skiatook, just a block from the police station. One subject was taken into custody and charges will be presented to the District Attorney. When recovered the Ford Mustang was in good condition and undamaged and will be returned to the owner.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Ford Mustang in April 2003 by Payton Wright Ford in Grapevine, Texas.
