The owners of a 2001 Saturn SL contacted the Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office to report that their vehicle had been stolen from the parking lot of their apartment.

A Sheriff’s Deputy verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Saturn.

A short while later officers with the Northglenn Police Department picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Saturn with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.

Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Saturn to the area of 84th and Huron Streets where a traffic stop was initiated and two suspects were arrested for Aggravated Motor Vehicle Theft.   As the location for the traffic stop was in the city of Federal Heights the investigation was turned over to the Federal Heights Police Department. The Saturn was secured for the safe return to the owners.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Saturn in November 2002 by Peak Nissan in Littleton, Colorado.
