The owner of a 2002 Mercedes CL600 found their business to be burglarized and the Mercedes to be stolen.  The offender(s) took tire rims from the business, located the keys to the Mercedes and stole the Mercedes too.  The owner contacted the Henderson Police Department to report the commercial burglary and the Mercedes as stolen.

The Henderson PD verified the burglary and vehicle theft.  The officers entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Mercedes.

Within a few minutes of the activation, Officers from the Las Vegas Metro Police Department, and the LVMPD Air Support unit, picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Mercedes with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Mercedes to a residential neighborhood abandoned and in good condition.

The LVMPD undercover Detectives set up surveillance on the Mercedes.  Detectives and Officers made contact with the residence where the Mercedes was parked in front of and the investigation is on-going.  Officers attempted to contact the victim with negative results.  The Mercedes was recovered and towed from the scene for safekeeping to be reunited with the owner at a later date.
