The owners of a Honda Civic contacted the Lakewood Police Department to report that their vehicle had been stolen.

The Lakewood PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Honda.

Just minutes later officers with the Aurora Police Department picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Honda with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.

Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC officers tracked the Honda to the area of 6th Avenue and Blackhawk where the vehicle was found parked and unoccupied.  The Civic was recovered undamaged and returned to the very happy owners.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Honda Civic in July 2009 at the request of these owners by Mile High Honda in Denver, Colorado.
