The owner of a 2010 GMC Terrain contacted the Trenton Police Department to report that her vehicle was stolen from her driveway in the City of Trenton by her ex-boyfriend.

The Trenton PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the GMC.

A short while later, officers from the Jersey City Police Department picked up the silent LoJack signal coming from the stolen Toyota, with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the GMC to Linden Road in Jersey City, where the vehicle was located abandoned. The GMC was recovered undamaged.

The LoJack® System was installed in the 2010 GMC Terrain in November 2009 by McGuire Auto Group in Little Falls, New Jersey.
