The owner of a Cadillac Escalade contacted the Dallas Police Department to report that her vehicle was stolen. The owner parked her Cadillac in a shopping center parking lot and when she returned to it, found it missing.

The Dallas PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Cadillac.

Later, the helicopter from the Dallas PD picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Cadillac with the LoJack Police Tracking Computer (PTC) that is installed in their helicopter.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the helicopter tracked the stolen Cadillac and observed it traveling southbound in the 7000 block of S.Westmoreland.  The helicopter was able to direct patrol officers to this location.  Officers were able to stop this stolen Cadillac and arrest the two suspects inside it.  The Cadillac’s steering column was damaged.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Cadillac Escalade in December 2002 by Costa Mesa GMC in CA.
