The owner of this Infiniti left the keys to the car on the counter at a movie theatre in Poulsbo. An opportunistic thief took the keys, went to the parking lot and drove off with the Infiniti.

After the movie was finished the theft was discovered and reported to the Poulsbo Police Department who verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Infiniti.

A Washington State Patrol Cessna flying over Kitsap County picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Infiniti on the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. The location was relayed to a State Patrol trooper on the ground, also equipped with a PTC. He located the Infiniti at an apartment complex in downtown Poulsbo.

It was abandoned and apparently not damaged. The Infiniti was released to the owner.
The LoJack® System was installed in the Infiniti G35 in August 2005 by Infiniti of Tacoma in Fife, Washington.
