The owners of a 2007 Ford F250 pickup contacted the Chandler Police Department to report that their vehicle had stolen from the parking lot of a restaurant near Interstate 10 and Ray Road in Chandler.

The Chandler PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Ford.

Four minutes later, officers from the Phoenix Police Department picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Ford with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Ford to an apartment complex near 43rd Avenue and McDowell Road in Phoenix.

The stolen Ford F250 was found unoccupied and backed into a parking space at the apartment complex.  The Ford was recovered and processed for evidence.  The Ford was later returned to the owners in good condition.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Ford F250 in March 2012 in Phoenix, Arizona, through Direct Sales.
