The owners of a 2002 Toyota Camry contacted the Spotsylvania County Sheriff’s Department to report that their vehicle was stolen from their home in the 5100 block Park Drive in Fredericksburg, Virginia.

The Spotsylvania County SD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Toyota Camry.

A short while later officers from the Fairfax Police Department picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Toyota Camry with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in their patrol vehicles. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Toyota to the 8500 block Lee Highway in Fairfax, Virginia. At that location, officers observed the Toyota parked and unoccupied. Officers recovered the undamaged Toyota and notified the owner.

The LoJack® System was installed in the 2002 Toyota Camry in January 2002 by Paul Miller Toyota in Monsey, New York.
