The manager of a local dealership reported that a 2015 Toyota Avalon had been taken from the dealer using false information. The Toyota was reported to the Gwinnett County Police Department.

The Gwinnett County PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Toyota.

A short while later officers with the Fulton County Police Department picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Toyota with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that was installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.

Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officer was able to locate the stolen Toyota next to an abandoned house in a rural part of Fulton County and in excellent condition. The Detective that came to the location thought that it was parked there before moving on to a different location to be taken apart.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Toyota Avalon in December 2014 by an Atlanta area new car dealer.
