The owner of a 2004 BMW 325I contacted the Chicago Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen from the 10900 block of South Doty in Chicago’s Pullman neighborhood. The owner stated he was shopping and when he returned his BMW was stolen.  The Chicago PD responded to scene and after verifying facts as presented entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the BMW.

Officers from the Chicago PD Calumet District picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen BMW with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  The Chicago PD officers tracked the BMW to a parking lot near the address of the steal.  The BMW was recovered undamaged and returned to a grateful owner.

The BMW 325 was recovered in less than an hour after it was reported stolen.

The LoJack® System was installed in the BMW 325 in March 2004 by Wagner BMW in Shrewsbury MA.
