The owner of a 2015 Honda Accord contacted the 75pct New York Police Department, East New York, Brooklyn, New York, to report that her vehicle was stolen from her. The owner stated the following; she ran into an ex-acquaintance of hers and became embroiled in a dispute where he physically assaulted her.  He then took the keys to her Honda and drove off with it. He also took her cell phone.

The NYPD 75pct verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers, which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Stolen Honda Accord.

A short while later, Officers from the 61 precinct, Sheepshead Bay Brooklyn picked up the silent signal from the LoJack® System installed on the stolen Honda on their LoJack Police Tracking Computers installed in their patrol vehicles. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, they tracked the signal into Gravesend section of Brooklyn, confines of the 61 precinct. There they located the Honda which was parked on a residential street.  They decided to stake the Honda out; they staked it out for a short while. However when no one showed up for it, they took the Honda into custody. The Honda was recovered with no damage; obviously being taken with the key. The owner was contacted and was elated that her Honda was recovered so quickly, especially with no damage on it.  The owner stated that she was happy that her Honda was equipped with LoJack, stating it was well worth the investment. Further stating that if it wasn’t for LoJack her vehicle may not have been recovered at all. The investigation is still continuing by the Detectives and an arrest is imminent.

The LoJack® System was installed in the 2015 Honda Accord in April 2015 by Hillside Honda in Queens, NY.
