The owner of a 2006 GMC Yukon contacted the Las Vegas Metro Police Department to report the vehicle as stolen.

The Las Vegas Metro PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the GMC.

Within thirty minutes of the stolen vehicle entry, officers from the Las Vegas Metro Police Department picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen GMC with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the GMC not too far from the theft location.  The GMC was located abandoned and was released back to the owner.

The LoJack® System was installed in the GMC Yukon in December 2005 by AutoNation Buick GMC in Henderson, Nevada.
