The owner of a 2008 Pontiac Solstice contacted the Dallas Police Department to report that her vehicle was stolen. The owner had parked her Pontiac on Main St in downtown Dallas.  When she returned to her Pontiac, she found it missing.  Broken glass was found where the Pontiac had been parked.

The Dallas PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Pontiac.

Later, officers from the Dallas PD picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Pontiac with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the stolen Pontiac to a hotel parking lot in north Dallas where they found it abandoned.  The driver’s side window had been broken out.  Officers are reviewing the hotel video to see if a suspect can be identified.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Pontiac Solstice in December of 2014 by Goodson Acura of Dallas, Texas.
