The owners of a 2012 Jaguar XF contacted the Annapolis Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen from their home with the keys in Annapolis, Maryland.

The Annapolis PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Jaguar.

A short while later detectives from the Regional Auto Theft Team picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Jaguar with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in their patrol vehicles & aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Jaguar to the intersection of 4th Street and Patapsco Avenue in the Brooklyn area of Baltimore City. At that location, officers observed the Jaguar being operated by the theft suspect. Officers stopped the Jaguar and placed the theft suspect under arrest. Officers recovered the undamaged Jaguar and notified the owner.

The LoJack® System was installed in the 2012 Jaguar XF in September 2014 by Jaguar of Annapolis in Maryland.
