The owners of a 2007 Takeuchi TL130 contacted the Marion Police Department to report that their construction equipment was stolen overnight from a job site.

The Marion PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Takeuchi.

A short while later a trooper from the Ohio State Highway Patrol picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Takeuchi with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the trooper tracked the Takeuchi to the rear of an abandoned residence.  The suspects had concealed the Takeuchi in dense brush and covered it with a tarp.

The Takeuchi was impounded and later returned to the owner.  Because of the quick recovery there was no damage to it.
