This Toyota Corolla was stolen from the owners’ residence in the 9400 block of North Fairhaven Avenue sometime during a thirteen hour period.  When the theft was discovered it was reported to the Portland Police Bureau.  They verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers, which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Toyota.
Less than twenty minutes after activating the LoJack, a Portland PB officer picked up the silent LoJack signal from the Toyota with the LoJack Police Tracking Computer (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.

Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officer tracked the Toyota to the same location as the reported theft.  The owner was called at work and advised of the recovery at her residence.  Because the Toyota was stolen with the keys in it, it is believed to have been a prank or joyride by persons unknown.

The LoJack® System was installed in this Toyota Corolla in May 2012 at Beaverton Toyota in Oregon.
