The owner of a 1998 Honda Civic contacted the Las Vegas Metro Police Department to report the vehicle as stolen from an apartment complex.

The Las Vegas Metro PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Honda.

Within a short time of the stolen vehicle entry, officers from the Las Vegas Metro Police Department picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Honda with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Honda to an apartment complex just a few miles away from the original theft location.

The Honda was recovered and was returned to the owner.  This was the second time the Honda has been stolen and successfully recovered by law enforcement using the LoJack® System.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Honda Civic in October 1998 by Scott Robinson Honda in Torrance, California.
