The owners of a 2009 Cadillac Escalade contacted the Huntington Park Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen.  Apparently keys to the Cadillac had been left on a table of a banquet hall; suspects came in and removed the keys driving off in the victim’s car.  Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Cadillac.

Within minutes the Huntington Park PD officers picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Cadillac with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that is installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the tracked the Cadillac to the 3200 block of Gage Ave where it was located parked behind a business.  As officers approached they observed a female sitting in the drivers sear and located a male in the rear seat.  Both were taken into custody without further incident. While at the Police station, the suspects purse was examined and property inside was later identified as the victim’s.  This female suspect was also identified via “6 pack” photo line-up by the victim as the person she had seen inside the banquet hall. The female suspect was later booked for the theft of the vehicle.  The Cadillac was later released to the victim.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Cadillac Escalade in September 2009 by Findlay Cadillac in Henderson, Nevada.
