The owner of this Honda Pilot received an Early Warning Alert from LoJack while he was inside a home improvement store located in the 3000 block of Cherry Avenue Northeast in Salem.  Early Warning is a LoJack feature that notifies the owner when a vehicle moves without the presence of the LoJack Key Pass. The theft was reported to the Salem Police Department.  They verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers, which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Honda.
Later that same afternoon, the Gresham Police Department officers picked up the silent LoJack signal from the Honda Pilot with the LoJack Police Tracking Computer (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.

Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Honda to an auto body repair shop in the 19900 block of East Burnside.  The Honda was abandoned and undamaged.  Police also identified a 1994 Honda Civic at that location that had been reported stolen to the Portland Police Bureau in May.

The LoJack® System was installed in this Honda Pilot in February 2012 by Obrien Auto Group in Salem, Oregon.
