The owner of a Lexus ES300 contacted the Garland Police Department to report that his vehicle was stolen. The owner warms up his Lexus unattended in his driveway every morning.  This morning when he returned to the Lexus, he found it missing.

The Garland PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Lexus.

Later, officers from the Dallas Police Department picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Lexus with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the stolen Lexus and observed it traveling northbound in the 600 block of N. Jupiter Rd.  The officers were able to stop the stolen Lexus and arrested the driver and passenger.  The Lexus was recovered in good condition.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Lexus ES300 in December of 2000 by Park Place Lexus in Plano, Texas.
