The owners of a 2014 Toyota Camry contacted the Bayonne Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen from their driveway in the City of Bayonne. The owner also called the LoJack Call Center to inform LoJack of the loss.

The Bayonne PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Toyota.

A short while later, officers from the Irvington Police Department picked up the silent LoJack signal coming from the stolen Toyota with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Toyota to Clinton Road in the City of Irvington where the vehicle was located abandoned. The Toyota was recovered undamaged.
