The owners of a 2005 Toyota Camry contacted the San Fernando Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen.

The San Fernando PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Toyota.

A short time later, patrol officers from the San Fernando PD picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Toyota with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Toyota to the area of Glenoaks Blvd and Harding Ave. The officers located the Toyota parked on the street abandoned.

The Toyota was recovered and released to the owner with no damage.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Toyota Camry in April 2010 by Hamer Toyota in Mission Hills, CA.
