The owners of a 2010 Toyota Camry contacted the Chandler Police Department to report that their vehicle had been stolen.  The owners advised that known suspects had taken the Toyota without permission and failed to return the vehicle.

The police verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Toyota.

Six minutes later, officers from the Arizona Highway Patrol and the Mesa Police Department picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Toyota with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Toyota to a neighborhood in Mesa.

The Mesa PD officers located the stolen Toyota and the suspect was taken into custody without incident.  The suspect was arrested and booked for the theft of the vehicle.  The Toyota was later returned to the owners in good condition.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Toyota Camry in January 2010 by Power Toyota Scion in Tempe, Arizona.
