The owners of a BMW 325i contacted the West Valley Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen.

A police officer verified the theft and had the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers.  This action automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the BMW.

A short while later an officer with the Unified Police Department picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen BMW with the LoJack Police Tracking Computer (PTC) installed in his patrol vehicle.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officer promptly tracked the BMW to the general area of 4900 S and 5200 W in Kerns, Utah.  There the abandoned BMW was recovered and secured for the safe return to the happy owners.

The LoJack® System was installed in the BMW 325i in October 2003 by Assael BMW-Mini in Monrovia, CA.
