The owner of a 2005 Toyota Camry called the Las Vegas Metro Police Department to report their vehicle as stolen.  The owner stated the keys were inside of the Toyota at the time of the theft.

The Las Vegas Metro PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Toyota.

Within a short time, Troopers from the Nevada Highway Patrol picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Toyota with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the Troopers tracked the Toyota and found it parked behind a bank.

The Toyota was recovered and will be returned to the owner.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Toyota Camry in June 2005 at World Toyota in Atlanta, Georgia.
