The owner of a 2006 Saturn Relay called the Las Vegas Metro Police Department to report the vehicle as stolen.  The owner told the officers he inadvertently left his keys in his apartment door knob.  When he woke up the next morning he found his keys and the Saturn missing.

The Las Vegas Metro PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Saturn.

Within 9 minutes of the reported theft, officers from the LVMPD picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Saturn with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Saturn a short distance away parked and unoccupied in a different apartment complex.

The Saturn was recovered and returned to the owner.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Nissan Altima in September 2006 at ABC Nissan in Phoenix, Arizona.
