The owner of a 2006 Nissan Altima called the Las Vegas Metro Police Department to report the vehicle as stolen.  The owner stated the Nissan was parked in front of the residence when he returned from work.  The next morning his Nissan was found to be missing.

The Las Vegas Metro PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Nissan.

Within 25 minutes of reported theft, Officers from the LVMPD picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Nissan with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Nissan a short distance away parked and unoccupied.

The Nissan was recovered and returned to the owner.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Nissan Altima in September 2006 at ABC Nissan in Phoenix, Arizona.
