The owners of a 2007 Acura TL contacted the Wayne Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen from their driveway in Wayne. The owner reported hearing noise in the driveway and when they looked out the Acura was gone.

The Wayne PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the 2007 Acura TL.

A short while later, officers from the Passaic County Sheriff’s Department picked up the silent LoJack signal coming from the stolen Acura, with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Acura to East 18th Street in the City of Paterson, where the vehicle was located abandoned. The Acura was recovered undamaged.

The LoJack® System was installed in the 2007 Acura TL in July of 2007 at Acura of Ramsey in New Jersey.
