The owners of a 2007 Mazda CX7 contacted the East Orange Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen from the parking lot of their apartment complex in East Orange.

The East Orange PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the 2007 Mazda CX7.

A short while later, officers from the Bloomfield Police Department picked up the silent LoJack signal coming from the stolen Mazda with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in their patrol vehicles.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Mazda to Bloomfield Ave in the City of Bloomfield where the vehicle was found parked on the street. The Mazda was recovered undamaged.

The LoJack® System was installed in the 2007 Mazda CX7 in December of 2009 at CarMax in Sterling, Virginia.
