The owners of a 2005 Mercedes Benz M35contacted the Prince George’s County Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen from their home in the 10000 block Bignonia Drive in the Laurel area of Prince George’s County, Maryland.

The Prince George’s County PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Mercedes.

A short while later officers from the Prince George’s County PD picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Mercedes with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in their patrol vehicles.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Mercedes to the 5000 block Doppler Street in the Capitol Heights area of Prince George’s County. At that location, officers observed the Mercedes parked and unoccupied. Officers recovered the undamaged Mercedes and notified the owner.

The LoJack® System was installed in the 2005 Mercedes Benz M35during January 2005 at Herb Gordon Mercedes Benz in Silver Spring, Maryland.
