The owners of a 2006 Honda Civic contacted the Houston Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen from their apartment complex off of West Sam Houston Parkway North in Houston.

The Houston PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Honda Civic. A short while later deputies from the Harris County Sheriff’s Department picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Honda with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the deputies tracked the Honda to an apartment parking lot in the 10000 block of Veterans Memorial Parkway in North Harris County. Deputies set up surveillance with negative results. The Honda sustained entry and ignition damage and was stored until the owner could claim his vehicle.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Honda Civic in May 2006 at Goodson Honda West in Houston, TX.
