The owners of a 2006 Lexus GS-430 contacted the Cobb County Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen from the drive way around 9 am. The owner went out to start it up, went back inside for a few minutes and when he returned to go to work it was gone.

The Cobb County PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Lexus. A short while later officers from the Cobb County PD picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Lexus with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Lexus to a parking lot where it was found abandoned. The Lexus was recovered in 26 minutes.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Lexus GS -430 in September 2009 at Lexus of Rockville Center, New York.
