The owner of a 2014 Subaru Forester called the Las Vegas Metro Police Department to report her vehicle as stolen.  The owner stated her Subaru was parked in front of the residence where it was stolen by unknown offenders.

The Las Vegas Metro PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Subaru.

A short time later, officers from the North Las Vegas Police Department picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Subaru with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Subaru and found it parked and abandoned.

The Subaru was recovered and will be returned to the owner.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Subaru Forester in March 2014 at Subaru of Las Vegas in Nevada.
