The owner of a Honda CBR 900 contacted the Baldwin Park Police Department to report that his motorcycle was stolen.   Apparently the owner had left it parked in front of his residence when it was stolen. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Honda CBR.

A short while later a Sergeant from the Baldwin Park PD picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the Sergeant tracked the Honda from Baldwin Park Blvd and Ramona Blvd approximately one mile to an alley behind the 13000 block of Ramona Blvd and located the stolen Honda.  He observed a male standing next to the Honda at which time this male ran into the yard of the residence.  He was soon apprehended with the assistance of other officers and taken into custody without further incident. This suspect was later booked for vehicle theft.  The Honda CBR was later released to the owner with only ignition damage.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Honda CBR 900 in August 2006 at Covina CA.
